In A.D. 1030 the area of Lorraine was under the Count of Lorraine.

On 13 Jul 1397 the area passed to Württemberg (Palatinate of Germany).

By 9 Feb 1801 Lorraine was annexed to France, where it remains in modern times.

George Nablo was born in Lorraine, France on 6 Feb 1847 and reportedly died in 1928 at Tonawanda, NY.
